Bill enjoyed a successful, 30+ year career in high-tech sales before entering search. He has served as Executive Vice President of North American Field Operations and Services, Director of Dealer Operations, Director of OEM and Distributor Sales/Marketing and in other related sales and marketing functions within such companies as IBM, Cullinet Software, Lotus Development Corporation, and Legent Corporation. In 1994, Bill decided to enter Executive Search, specializing in the high-tech industry, and has been successfully providing his clients with high caliber candidates ever since.
Bill has managed direct and indirect sales and marketing organizations for both large and small companies. In these capacities and in his 15 years as a search consultant, he has built an expansive personal and professional network within the hardware, software and services industries worldwide. His practice is focused on high tech companies only - typically software, Internet and related services companies. He recruits and places vice presidents and above in all functions.
During the course of his industry career, Bill has built sales organizations, directed strategic and organizational planning, introduced new products and developed compensation programs. He has also led innovate training initiatives and entrepreneurial efforts, including professional services businesses. Incorporating both operations experience and board membership, Bill appreciates a variety of perspectives relating to business and organizational issues. His extensive management experience offers additional value to clients during the search process.
He is also a Director of Omtool, Ltd., an Andover-based leading provider of document handling solutions that simplify the integration of paper and electronic documents in enterprise information systems.
Bill is a graduate of Northeastern University with a BS in Civil Engineering. He continued his education with graduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and participated in the Executive Development program at Columbia University.
